Itse palasin pitkän ajan jälkeen punaiseen hiusväriin. Niin ihana väri, mitä on todella vaikea ylläpitää. Tein teille siis postauksen missä kerron millä ja miten värjään omat hiukseni, sekä millä ihmeellä ylläpidän näitä! Hiusväreistä käytän Herman's Professionalia. Kyseessä on siis kotimainen firma, jonka hiusvärit ovat eläintestaamattomia sekä vegaaneja. Heiltä löytyy 17 ihanaa sävyä sekä sävyte ja värinpoisto. Heidän tuotteitaan löydät Cybershopista sekä netistä!
So after a long time I decided to go back to red hair. Such a lovely color, but so hard to keep bright. So I decided to do a post about with what and how I color my hair and also how I keep it red! To get my red I use Hermans Professional. It is a finnish company, that offers hairdyes that are not tested on animals and 100% vegan! Currently they have 17 beautiful colors, toner and bleach. You can find their products online and from Cybershop!
Eli tämä oli lähtötilanne. Haalistunut väri (en ollut ylläpitänyt pariin pesuun) ja jäätävä juurikasvu. Hiukset ovat huomattavan likaiset myös, koska hiusta vaalentaessa on parempi tehdä se likaiseen kuin ihan putipuhtaaseen hiukseen. Tästä siis lähdettiin liikkeelle!

So these arethe before-pics. Faded color and awful roots. Also, you can see my hair is quite greasy and dirty, it's because the bleach works better with dirty hair!
It is important to bleach the hair since semipermanent hairdyes work the best on bleached hair. The color may change/fade if you apply it to brown hair. (for example)

Ensimmäinen vaihe! Eli juuren vaalentamiseen käytin Herman's Professionalin värinpoistoa. Seuraavissa kuvissa näette miksi rakastuin tähän! Levittäminen oli hiukan hankalaa, jauhe ei sekoittunut nesteen kanssa niin hyvin kuin olisin toivonut. Siitä huolimatta oli erittäin riittoisaa. Sekoituskulho ja levitysharja eivät siis kuulu pakettiin, mutta suosittelen ostamaan ne, koska ne käyvät kaikkien hiusvärien levittämiseen oikein hyvin!
Phase one! So for bleaching the roots I used Herman's Professionals bleach. In the next pictures you will see why I loved this bleach so so much! Applying it was a bit harder than I hoped since the powder didn't mix too well with the liquid. Although there was plenty of the bleach! The mixing bowl and the application brush do not come with the bleach, but I do recommend buying these also. They are super handy when it comes applying any hair dye.
Ja tässä vaalennuksen jälkeinen tukka! Mikään värinpoisto ei ole toiminut mulla ikinä näin hyvin, edes juurikasvuun. Ei kellertävyyttä, todella sileät hiukset muutenkin. Annoin värinpoiston olla päässäni 30 minuuttia folioon käärittynä!
And here is my hair after the bleach. Nothing else has worked so well in the past. The color isn't yellow (what I was worrying about) and the hair is super soft. I kept the bleach in my hair for about 30 minutes wrapped in tinfoil.
Tämä siis oli lähtötilanne ennen punaista väriä. Tästä näkee myös kuinka kirkkaan vaalea tyvi onkaan. Seuraavaksi laitoin siis hiuksiin Ruby Red sävyisen suoravärin. Olen näitä värejä jo hetken käyttänyt ja voin vain suositella! Halusin kylmemmän, tummemmat punaisen kuin mitä minulla aikaisemmin oli, joten tämä oli mielestäni paras vaihtoehto. Väristä tuli ihana!
So this was the haircolor before the red... You can really see how bright blonde the roots are! I ended up choosing Ruby Red as the shade of my hair. I've been using Herman's colors for a while and I can only recommend using them! I wanted a bit cooler, darker red than I had earlier and this was the best option. But got to say, I absolutely love this color!
Sitten kun on punaiset hiukset - millä pitää ne kirkkaina? No tässä muutama tuote siihen! Ensinnäkin, se suoraväri millä värjäsit - sekoita sitä hieman hoitoaineen sekaan, saat sävyttävät hoitoaineen! Suosittelen myös Biozellin Color Mask sävyttävä shampoota - se on todella pigmenttistä ja antaa heti säväyksen hiuksiin. Juurikasvun peittämiseen sopii Biozellin Color Mask tyvispray. Muista vaan suojata otsa ja korvat, koska muuten punaista tarttuu sinnekkin... :D
Now you have bright red hair - how to keep it bright? Well, I gathered few products to help with that. First of all, that hairdye you used - mix it up with a bit of conditioner, and you will get toning conditioner! Also one of the best things for red hair is Biozell Color Mask toning shampoo. It is really pigmented and wakes up the red. To cover up the roots I've been using Biozell Color Mask toning rootspray. It does stain skin, so make sure to cover up your ears and forehead!
Muutama vinkki vielä/Few tips more:
- Pese mahdollisimman harvoin (kuivashampoo!!) / Do not wash too often! (dryshampoo!!)
- Pese kylmällä vedellä / Wash with cold water
- Kuivaa hennosti, älä hankaa liikaa / Dry gently, do not scrub too hard!
- Valmistaudu siihen, että punainen on vaikea ylläpitää ja se vaatii työtä - jos haluat helppohoitoiset hiukset harkitse Elumenia (kampaaja!) tai toista väriä. / Be prepared that red is hard to keep and needs constant care - If you want easy hair, consider using Elumen (hairdresser!) or some other color.
Nyt vaan värjäämään punaiseksi! Kesä on tulossa, kirkkaampi väri siis sopii hiukseen erinomaisesti?
